The results to one of the most interesting questions we've heard in quite awhile has come in and gaming's greatest canine is apparently Parappa from the Parappa the Rapper games. While we'll cross the divide that separates Nintendo and Sony handheld fanboys and admit that the Parappa games are great, we're a tad bit upset.As you may recall from our original post on this topic of discussion, we were heavily in favor of K.K. Slider. We also considered the dog from Duck Hunt. But, Parappa? Eh, we don't agree. What about you all?

I agree that K.K. Slider kicks PaRappa to the curb. K.K. is a dog that, while like Parappa, has song talent, K.K. has more variations in his notes, not to mention K.K. possessing what we call.... a third dimension.

Personally, as far as canine's go I've always been a bit inclined towards Tails in the Sonic series, and as of late, Lucario from the pokémon series.

Parappa probably is the best, the charisma, the flow, the ability to mimick and be on and off beat on command, if only there was more Parappa, or if only NanaOn-Sha would expand and master the genre they started. What other animal raps his way to the bathroom, or battles noodles, or jams with a strange trio named milkcan, and idolizes a flying baby that saves crying teddy bears.
Second place I'd probably say Interceptor from Final Fantasy 6, just cuz he's a great character, and very loyal to Relm and Shadow. Thirdly maybe that dog in nethack i guess tied only with alucard the blue doggie. How precious it is when you can use doggie to get to areas you normally can't access like the clocktower, and sit in boats while your master uses the oars. Too bad you can't do any interior decorating as doggie or play fetch or chase the mousie condemned in the crack

I'm sorry, no other canines can touch Parappa the Rapper. He can fight, drive, cook, sell, cut hair, enter the army, fly in the air, shrink size, and rap on stage. The other dogs have nothing on him.
