Following up on the first DS
Game & Watch Collection, which contained
Oil Panic, Donkey Kong, and
Green House, and would never be accessible to us without the efforts of import retailers, Nintendo has announced a new collection for distribution to Club Nintendo members.
Game & Watch Collection 2 contains recreations of the classic LCD games
Parachute and
Octopus, as well as a mashup version of the two.
Other new Club Nintendo gifts include a Touch Generations CD with music from
Wii Sports and
Wii Fit, a Mario and Peach pin, DS game cases in the shapes of Mario and Luigi's hats,
Mario Party playing cards, and DS Lite cases in new colors. And we can't have any of it. That is ... so great.

Crazy about the Game & Watch? It would probably be a good idea to read our huge Game & Watch feature, with collector interviews and a retrospective gallery. Because it's about the Game & Watch.

I don't bleedin' believe it's club Nintendo only.
I'm in the UK, but I don't use club Nintendo. That's annoyed me now. Someone better get a rom sorted or there's gonna be a whole lot of murdered Nintendo workers...

Have any of you actually played the first? Really, the only good thing about these games being exclusive to Japan is the fact that we're not missing much.
The first G&W collection is novel and kind of cool but it gets old pretty fast. I don't really see why all of you are flipping out.

Nintendo of America avoids questions about Club Nintendo for America. I remember on the now closed Nintendo Nsider Forums, the Nintendo workers would never answer questions about it. NOA_Andy was a bitch.

Fuck you, Japan.
Bunch of racist, nationalist shits.
Well, at least a SQUARE ENIX MEMBERS (do they have to type EVERYTHING in ALL-CAPS?) has been launched for North America. It's a step towards globalizing Japan's weird. Not "weirdness"; 'pure', concentrated WTF.

I'm pretty sure it isn't just Japan, if our own Nintendo wanted, they could do it. Just like with game bundles, it's the NA publishers who decided on them ultimately, not the Japanese publishers. But, alas we have a bunch of old farts that don't really care about the gamers as our CEOs, so we don't have anything cool like Nintendo Club. Don't be so fast to place the blame on Japan.
