No, we're not going to stop talking about this new DS thing until it's in our hands (or turns out to have been some prank or something). With a proposed Japanese release by the end of this year, we could be facing a new money-spending situation this holiday.

Were you expecting to buy new hardware this year? Are you ready to do so? Are you shuffling your game-buying plans around? Nintendo fans are fiercely loyal, so we expect many of you may have already tried to preorder the thing.

I could care less about the camera. I already have one. What I'm interested in is what it will do with the downloadable content. If nintendo does what I hope they're going to, make virtual console games ds compatible, then I will buy one for sure. I would love to be able to play all my old favorites from NES SNES on my DS (without waiting for an updated version to be releases with altered or tacked on controls).
Furthermore, I'm hoping that things like internal memory and an sd card slot will mean larger, more in-depth RPGs (not to mention easier homebrews).
My dream of games like Wild Arms and Final Fantasy 9 on the go are getting closer...

Well, I quite literally just baught my DS Lite. However, if this came out, I'd still buy it. Yes, I'm that insane
