DS homebrew hero ali banana has come up with a customer application entitled Super Smash Bros. Tactics. With two confirmed playable characters in Samus and Link, along with another character being shown in Kirby, the application looks to be a huge step in the right direction. While this blogger has yet to actually download the files and get it going on the DS, maybe one of our fine readers would like to step up to the plate and comment on the gameplay?

Sure, I've been waiting all morning to get home and test the new build (It recently updated to include a "build it yourself" character creator.
Finally we get some homebrew news...
Here's a quick review.
The GUI is pleasing. There is no sound, so dont expect any background music or anything.
This isnt a recreation of the original Smash Bros. There is a reason its called Tactics, and its because its turn based. You attack, he attacks, you move back, you shoot, etc.
Dont diss the game without trying, it really is different from the original SSB, so I understand if you dont like it. It could make a hell of a game by its own though.
Its still an early demo of what Ali Bannana is trying to create (he recently updated btw), and its coming along nicely.
