Whopping 22 minute vid of Phantom Hourglass at E3

This video shows the entire demo of The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass that was available at Nintendo's booth during E3. The video, which is filmed exceptionally well, shows all of you exactly how Link will control and interact with the environment. Just make yourself some popcorn before starting to watch, this video is on par with the length-time of a full episode of Scrubs.

1. It may be as long as Scrubs, but its much fuunnier, and far more original...

2. Is that what I think it is at the end there, a multi-player version of the classic Link-Sneaks-Guards-Hunt puzzles? Wow, I never would have thought of that, but it's genius and looks like lots of fun! And the boat stuff sure looks a lot more fun than in Wind Waker.

Nintendo needs to stop making so many good games for DS, I gotta save up for a Wii! I've already bought more DS games in the last year than I've ever bought for any other system in their lifetime (well, I may have had more SNES games, but still, that's impressive).

3. "Nintendo needs to stop making so many good games for DS, I gotta save up for a Wii!"

My thoughts exactly. There are SO MANY GOOD GAMES FOR DS. AND I'M POOR. ARGH. I only have like, four games for the DS. One is lost, and the other three are probably borrowed from someone. xD. And I'm saving for the new console... Nintendo's number one weakness here is high quality...

4. I just hope that navigating link with the stylus is not madatory. The boat sections are understandable, but controlling Link solely with the stylus will get stale after a while. I love the option to switch the screens, and hope that when Link is on the top screen, you can use the D-Pad and buttons to control him.
This has probably already been confirmed/denied, but I'm way too lazy to check and I haven't read it yet.

5. It seems like seeing a DS game is never the same as playing it, for obvious reasons. But that's definitely a good watch. And just from the looks of it, our wallets are to suffer for quite a bit still.

p.s.: Scrubs rocks. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

6. #2 What DS games are you buying. I'm regretting my DS purchase cause i can't find any good games. I really need someone to tell me all the good games I keep hearing about.

7. I for one am in love with the new Super Mario, I also like Mario Cart, and Metroid Prime Hunters is awesome. This fall I am really looking forward to the Lunar Knights game, Final Fantasy III, and of course this new Zelda. O, and how could I forget, Brain Age! Those first three should be enough to occupy your time until the fall when some more excellent games come out.

8. I'll list you a few, but as usual, tastes in games are relative.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. (Hell yeah).
Trauma Center: Under the Knife
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
New Super Mario Bros.
Mario Kart DS
Metroid Prime Hunters
Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time

and personally, I very much enjoyed Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith (unlike the movie).

And then there's a whole slew of awesome GBA games you can play, which I won't bother to list them all, but I'll just say: 3 Castlevania games and Drill Dozer. woohoo.

Posted at 7:06PM on Jun 5th 2006 by Mathieu Bonin

9. Phoenix Wright dosen't exsist. You won't ever be able to find it in a store. I wish people would stop reccomending that game to me. And I've already played all those other games.

I'm personally terrible at Castlevania games. I bought Castlevania DS and was stuck in the same part for 7 months.

Kirby and Wario Ware were also fun, though I'm waiting for them to drop in price before buying them again.

Looks like there is still just nothing out there on the DS for me to play.

10. Duscrom; Advance Wars: Dual Strike. Should last you a while.

Posted at 10:37PM on Jun 5th 2006 by Conn

11. And I think people need to stop saying games not so old are impossible to acquire. Get on EBay.

Posted at 6:23AM on Jun 6th 2006 by Mathieu Bonin

12. Well Duscrom, what kind of games do you want? And I'd be willing to take that DS off your hands if you're not going to use it... :)

13. Let's see. The list is huge.

You guys are missing some good ones.

Meteos (one of the best)
Tetris DS
Truma Center under the kinfe
Sonic Rush (pretty cool)
Tony Hawk American s8land (if you like oldschool tony hawk)
Advance Wars DS
Super Princess Peach
Kirby Touch and Go
New Super Mario Bros
Viewtiful Joe DT(love this game)
Mario kart DS (can't go wrong)
Metroid Prime: Hunters (awesome game)
Mario & Luigi: Partners in time (another great game)
Castlevania DS
True swing golf is pretty fun
Pac-Pix
Pac'n Roll (heard decent things about these two)
Warioware

And then there are the games coming out.

Zelda Phantom Hourglass
Final Fantasy III (never released in the US and has new GFX)
Children of Mana (one of my favorite series)
Castlevania POR
Final Fantasy: Chrystal Chronicals - Ring of Fate
Kirby DS
Mario Hoops 3 on 3
Starfox
Yoshi's island 2

Just to name a few.
