The Nintendo DS will act as an all-in-one espionage gadget in the upcoming "After the murder of his uncle and guardian, the MI6 British spy agency recruits the reluctant 14-year-old Alex Rider to take over his uncle's mission. Like any good spy, during training he receives his key piece of gadgetry: a Hot Rod Red Nintendo DS. He also gets several game cards that transform his DS into an eavesdropping device, a wiretap detector or a smoke bomb."
Uhm, why can't our dual-screened wonders do all that? I wonder if the villains use PSPs which fire out UMDs at rapid speeds. Oh snap.

You guys shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. I have actually read this series and it is very good. I don't know how the movie will fair, but all the stories are as good as any of the bond movies. The boooks may be for teenagers and about one, but they get quite mature around the third book, and I highly recomend them for all ages. Also, this isn't like the transformers movie in that they just want an iPod and Xbox 360 just becuase, but rather in the original book written almost a decade ago, ALex Rider uses a Gameboy advance to do the smae stuff, this is jsut to update it.

I'm more partial to taking a blue DS and using at as Soundwave in the Transformers 2007 movie. But sure we can degrade it to a bad spy gadget.
