Are DS Fanboys better? If all we had to go by was the video above, the answer to that question would be a resounding yes! In a post entitled "When being a fanboy goes terribly wrong...," the PSP Fanboy crew took a moment to poke fun at themselves. And I think they were a bit embarrassed for their kind. Of course, we're going to take advantage of that and have a good laugh at their expense. The video should have you either ROTFL or MABDTTSIOTV (my appendix burst due to the sheer ignorance of this video).
Now, what's required here is a proper rebuttal video. Here's the challenge: create a 2 to 5 minute video that talks to the virtues of the DS in a fun and humorous way. If you're up to the task, we'll "air" our favorites right here on DS Fanboy. You've got two weeks, starting... now!
Just don't embarrass us. Send your fanboy video link to fanboyvideo AT yahoo DOT com.

I think the best feature of the PSP is that its fanboys are idiots who can't spell correctly.

Hahahaa, that was so funny, especially with that music! He made so many spelling mistakes. Oh man, the ds in the trash can is classic. He didn't actually list any good PSP games did he?
Also, in the summing up, he put features in PSP's list about 3 times... lol.

the psp must be so great that making a video is more entertaining than playing the games. instead of making a rebuttal, just play video games.

Ok. What the hell is this? I hate PSP fanboys! They think the PSP rules just because of graphics and in game features such as setting. The PSP is good, which I clearly state and I don't want war going on, but to say such disgusting things about a Console which has been truly amazing since the start is just wrong (oh and look at the sales charts).
The DS is a device which just amazed me EVERY time i bought a new game. I wont list why every time but ill say a few.
Mario Kart: Online features are amazing I love playing online and the community is great. Graphics are fun gameplay is just amazing. You can get straight into the game and just play a quick battle when your on a bus or train.
-
Compared to the Ridge Racer game for psp: To get into the game it takes about 4 minutes with all the loading times and stuff. Oh, and then you gota play with that terible d-pad or the analogue stick which is 2D not 3D as in it only slides along.
Tetris: really fun to play on the go with good online features and lots of fun new tunes and good modes. a must have
Metroid prime pinball: so you just wana kill some time in school? play this its so fun
anyay enough said anyone who has a psp should burn it and post the video up on youtube... ohhhh.. that reminds me of smashmyipod.com they should have one! this'll be fun!

Uhh Kyle, I'm a DS and PSP owner.
First of all, terrible d-pad? I've had no problems whatsoever using it. The 'joystiq' was never meant to be 3D, otherwise it would be able to push inwards or pull outwards. It just provides a more gradual and precise control compared to a d-pad, but still moves on the same directional plane: up, down, left, right, and in between. In light of this I think the choice to put a slider in lieu of a joystick makes sense because of size and functional restrictions.
As for the four minutes it takes to get into a race with Ridge Racer, that's only if you're booting fresh (which nobody does). Any sensible person would just set the game on standby, and then it's about half a minute to get into a race. Compare the superb, arcade drifting and beautiful graphics to Mario Kart's N64-era gameplay and graphics (we've all played it before, seriously), it all becomes a matter of choice: drifting beauty or wacky old-school fun. I don't see how you came to the conclusion that the faster loading times (with incomparable facts, no less) makes Mario Kart better than Ridge Racer.
Hang on a sec, there's something you forgot to mention. There's a void where serious DS racing games should be. Heck, Mario Kart is the only decent racing game on the system. IGN doesn't even have a section for DS racing games on their review section. Fans of racing games would go for the PSP, no doubt.
You mentioned Tetris: it's totally old-school. There's better, more innovative ways to use the DS.
Anyways, why would I want to burn my $300 investment in the gaming industry when Loco Roco, Silent Hill Origins, Work Time Fun, Bounty Hounds, Every Extend Extra, and Ace Combat are coming out for it? I'd need to see more _serious_ games for my DS to come out before I do. Let's face it: I can't be Solid Snake, a Navy Seal, Kobe Bryant (that's right, there's also a lack of good sports games on the DS), or the Godfather on the DS. To date, the only decent FPS on any portable gaming system is Metroid. Heck, outside of Jump Super Stars there isn't a decent fighting game on it (don't even talk about Guilty Gear, the PSP version is infinitely better; Jump Super Stars is lame when there's nobody to play against).
Now I'll burn my PSP when you get some decent third party (read: not by Nintendo, nothing to do with Mario) racing, sports, fighting, and other 'serious' games for my DS.

Hey, azusa, I think you're at the WRONG SITE. Read the browser: www.dsfanboy.com. You don't belong here. Just cause you have a DS doesn't automatically make you a fanboy. Instead, go to pspfanboy cause that's what YOU ARE. Thank you. Oh! And by the way, that video shows the psp for what it is: an overstuffed portable. Look at the sales charts. The DS owns, period.

I hate this fanboy BS... I don't go around saying all this crap in real life so why do it on the web? I feel that you play what you like, I'll play what I like, and if they have some of the same things, such as I like Metroid, and you like Metroid then we can get together and have fun. But this crap about which is better is pointless they each have their own strenghts and weaknesses.
For instance the DS has some great pick up and play games, quite a few I think, and very short load times if any. While it does lack the "maturity" of games that PSP fanboys rant about. However maturity is in what one person belives it is. I do not think the GTA series is mature, I think it is childish and should not be made, but that is just me. I know other people do like it so I let them have their own and let them play it. Also the DS is not that All in One Killer System like the PSP. Although it does have features that can make it like that. However I did not get a DS to play music or watch videos, I got it for games, plain and simple.
The PSP has great things for it too. The All in one aspect is nice, and sometimes I would not mind it for the DS. It does have good games, but not many that I would want to play. As for its weaknesses the load times are down right horid. Plus the media formats that it has are pointless and stupid. Sony's memory stick is a rip off and they should have stuck with something that more people use on a daily basis for their cameras and other devices. The only reason that was stuck on the PSP was to get the sales of the memory stick up because it was a failing media. The UMD disks and drive are pointless because it is slow and makes for very long load times. I do not get a handheld system to wait around for it to load. If I can load a game for the PSP then pop out my DS and play a few quick rounds of Polarium that is too long. Another format from sony is stupid too. Look at how they go over, Betamax anyone?
So stop all your pointless bitching at each other and play your god damn games I'm tired of this fanboy war over every console and handheld.

Hey Diahrrea Man, what's wrong? Got no rebuttal? Don't cop out and tell me to get lost. I love the DS just as much as the PSP, which I might not have made clear, so I have just as much right to post here as I do on PSP Fanboy.
Why not tell the same thing you said to me to Kyle over there, since this site obviously is not "ignorantmiddle-schoolkids.com"
Just because (and I am in no position nor do I desire to disagree, I was wooed to the DS) the DS is more popular doesn't mean that you should bash the PSP.
Since when did this site become "DS Fanboy: dedicated to hating on the PSP"? (AFAIK it sure as hell ain't psphater.com) The folks at PSPfanboy.com are poking fun at the presence of ignorant fanboys, and the image it gives all of them. Then here goes DS Fanboy taking the youtube vid and saying (and I quote) "Are DS Fanboys better?"
I don't know what's more ignorant: a community who shuns the retarded fanboy image and makes fun of such poor examples in good humour, or a group of pseudo-journalists who constantly take posts from PSP Fanboy and turn it into a fanboy war and the fanboys who contradict themselves.
"I hate PSP fanboys!...
The PSP is good, which I clearly state and I don't want war going on...
anyay enough said anyone who has a psp should burn it and post the video up on youtube..."
I merely sought to point out the fact that Kyle up there had debatable points (fast loading times =/= better game) and insensible demands (like I said, why burn $300 of technology, especially when good titles are on the horizon?).
I made some good points (no good sports fighting or racing games on DS outside of the exceptional ones mentioned, no point in burning technology) and you have NO RIGHT to tell me off without giving me at least a counterargument.
