Remember when we told you about the guy who sanded down his DS with an emery board? You know, he didn't like how it shined. Yeah, that one! Well that poor sucker should have waited because SHOCK! has a replacement shell that is black without the shine.
According to the page, having this shell will help you attract the beautiful and tasteful, just like yourself. Yeah.

Strangely, I miss the beveled DS logo on the center of the closed system. I hated when the first Lite mock-ups were shown, but when I saw actual photos of it, I was relieved.
Anywho, I'll take my glossy white DS any day over that crap. Even if it does have some scratched in it, at least it's hard to see them unless you look at the right angle.

I've been VERY pleased with the Mad Catz Custom Showcase for DS Lite. Same basic thing, but clear with inserts to customize it.

Not bad. I'll have to see what the non-standard colors look like before making a serious purchase consideration. I'm most interested in yellow or red, but even clear might not be bad. Basically I just want my DS to stand out in a crowd.

eh...this doesnt look bad actually without the glossy finish. but like Cosmos said, i do automatically notice the absence of the DS logo on the lid which is also the reason i would never do this to my PSP either.
i really wanted one of these before (i was going to get a glossy black one for my white DS Lite) but after seeing that post with the Flikr pics on it that showed how to do the actual mod, i kinda got scared away. ive now come to peace with my white DS Lite and ill get a white Wii to go along with it. and ill get a black (and chrome) PS3 to go with my black (and chrome) PSP.
yea for some reason im really into matching my consoles. they gotta look good together!
