Just in case the last homebrew guide we told you about wasn't quite enough, now we've dredged up a video tutorial to help you on the path to custom content on your DS. This video shows you, step by step, how to use an SD card to get games purring cozily on your favorite handheld. So go ahead. We know where the fun is -- it's in your pocket. You just need to let it out.Of course, the tutorial focuses on getting illegal DS ROMs from the web to your handheld. We prefer to give our money to Nintendo, since they are our video game overlords and thus own our fanboy souls. Every time you pirate a game, Miyamoto drinks the blood of a newborn kitten and grinds the bones to make his bread. And no one wants that. However, the principles are sound -- this is the same way one goes about loading homebrew games onto the DS, so the tutorial is worth a watch.

And once again we prove that some of us can't shell out the money to support those who actually made the game.
Great job, citizens of the world.

Does anyone know whether homebrew can disable the DS's auto-sleep function? I was thinking of getting something so I can do other stuff on my DS like play MP3's (not metroid prime 3 unfortunately... can't wait) and it would be kind of stupid to have to have it open to play music.

It looks like he made this video from prison. It seemed like he was whispering the whole time. I guess this was supposed to "set the mood"

@2... when you use the DS Media Player "Moonshell" the MP3s will play when the system is closed.

This is 100% WRONG! You DO NOT need to use the supercard software to 'convert' when playing with legal homebrew files. You only need it when you are stealing commercial games.
Homebrew can just be copied straight to your CF/SD/MiniSD card, and then run on your DS.

@6, oe - As I said above, you DO NOT need the supercard software for homebrew. Just copy the files straight to your card (Which I'm pretty sure even a mac can handle)
@8, B-Mo - Yeah, as if openly posting a video on how to play illegally downloaded copies of nintendo software wasn't bad enough. Seriously dsfanboy, I thought you liked Nintendo? Then why are you posting articles which tell the idiots how to pirate games for ds?

Wow, I can't believe you guys just taught us all how to pirate NDS games for relatively cheap. This does a disservice to the industry we should be supporting. I imagine this will be pulled soon...

Just because you teach a person to fire a gun does not mean they will commit murder... In other words, get over it. Also, just to clarify my position on things, I'm a software developer.
All that said... Greatest. Post. Picture. Ever.

The Supercard is a good product, hoewever it lacks GBA support, if you want to be able to play GBA ROMS your best bet is the M3, great NDS and GBA support, I am an owner and am very satisfied.

Does anyone else feel like Anthony Michael Hall may have traveled back in time to make this video? And for god's sake, give the guy a tissue.

Reiterating #6's question: Anyone know if homebrew can be loaded on via OSX (Macintosh), or does it have to be done in Windows?

Even though it's illigal, there's nothing unethical about buying several games for your NDS and a SuperCard or whatever, then putting the roms of all your legally bought games on it and using it for the convinience of not having to carry all your games with you at once.
