(Page 1)2. I have just recieved my Japanese import through the post along with Elite Beat Agents. I had previously played Gyakuten Saiban 2 on the Gameboy Advance, however Japanese not being my native language found the game more than difficult to complete.
Localisation, transplanted GBA -> DS music and English makes the game so worth a buy, even if I feel that the music in Gyakuten Saiban 2 was rather bland and didn't have the same rythem or music to shift your mood one way or another like the original did.
Plus the lack of a 5th added, special DS case like "Rise from the Ashes" in the first game was a big disapointment, but for £15 I can't really complain. The game is wonderfully simplified using the touch screen compared to the original one-screen layout the GBA games had given us and over-all the game is very impressive.
I'm only a case in because I have been screaming at shouting at my lack of skill at Jamiraqoi's Canned Heat song on EBA, but I can tell you that Phoenix Wright Justice for All may have as good cases as Rise from the Ashes or Turnabout Goodbyes, but the game in itself is an awesome experiance and is a must-play for anyone who's played the original video game title.
@1: I'm not sure in English, but the Japanese version took me absoultely ages to finish. I think the game will live up to the original's gameplay time if not surpass it.

3. I got the first Phoenix Wright for Christmas and am loving it; so I'm really really looking forward to this one. I am unsure about how I feel about the "psyche lock" though...

4. Erick, I'd say that it's almost as long a the original, which is saying a bit with one less case. If I recall correctly, the last case took quite a bit longer than the earlier ones, just as Case 5 was in the original version on DS.
To Fox, I was a little unsure about the whole "psyche lock" thing too, but it works...for the most part. They aren't all that common and it's little more than a gimmick for just breaking down a witness' testimony, but it doesn't take anything away from the game.
I look forward to picking up my US copy, and I hope Capcom brings number 3 over to the DS too.

5. Thanks for the reply, Strike Man! Makes me feel much better about it. I'm glad it doesn't take anything away from the game.

6. ya i just recently beat this game i liked the music in the first one better but this is a great game none the less the psyche locks dont really change much, and only happen out of court its kinda like the court gameplay out of court, you basically just prove to them that they are lying, and so they confess and give you the truth, id also say this game is a lot harder than the first leaving you stumped in court a lot more often, and is sometimes frustrating

9. I would think so! Ace Attorney isn't hard to find anymore, though! You can easily find it on Amazon, for instance, and I've even seen it in actual stores that sell video games!

1. AWESOME.
I just finished the first game just 2 days ago. Will this one hold up to the original? I just hope it does. Will it be longer, though, with just 4 cases?
