We have yet to see the episode in question where Dr. House rocks the DS above, but we wonder why he didn't choose to go with a DS Lite. Maybe he just enjoys conflict so much that he feels the need to go with the Phat so that upon any inquiries as to why he is not using the sleeker, newer version of the dual-screen handheld, he can begin a rant breaking down the inquisitive individual. Or maybe it's the young lady's and he just wanted to check it out? Regardless of how it came into play, we're glad Nintendo's handheld got some screen time on one of TV's best shows (we all know what the best show is right now).

If I remember correctly House has rocked a DS, a PSP, and a DS-Lite :) House is just awesome show. This episode, was from the first season if I remember correctly. When I get home, I'll bust out the DVDs and try to find which episode he uses which in.

1.5v - we need people who mindlessly buy up prettier but functionally identical tech to help finance the next real upgrades. think of it as a tax on the insecure =)
nintendo, apple, and others have made it a prime source of revenue. if these people have extra $$, why not collect it?

Ricky Gervais is the closest thing to a comedian I've seen come out of that country. i'm sorry to burst your bubble but he started with a gba sp and then moved up to DS Phat. Then a patient (autistic kid) gives him his PSP. it's pretty remarkable because this child is unable to make eye contact with anyone, but does with house. house takes it and after that, i think I saw him playing SNES roms on it =P... but seriously no DS after that.
and as for that guy's comments, just leave him alone. he'll tire himself out soon enough
