SNK vs. Capcom Card Fighters DS has already had its share of negative press; now that it's joined the exclusive club of DS games that don't work, things are just going to get worse. The game-breaking glitch happens when, after completing the game, you start a "New Game +" and attempt to talk to a fellow in the Card Tower named Card Battler John. The game freezes and further progress is hindered.Depending on your idea of finishing a game, this could make it impossible to play completely through Card Fighters DS. It definitely renders you unable to get all the cards, which, in a game called Card Fighters that contains both the place name "Card Tower" and the name "Card Battler John," is probably pretty important.

The biggest offense about this: Makes it impossible to get all the Phoenix Wright cards. Edgeworth and Mia can be obtained early on (from what I've heard, Edgeworth is in your starter deck), but Phoenix, Franziska, and the "Fierce Battle in Court" cards are higher ranked. Thus, impossible to get since you can't pass John in New Game+.
And I really wanted to buy this game, too. But a game-stopping bug is something I can't ignore.

I don't want to be one of those assholes who bash writers for their grammar but saying, "The game freezes and further progress is hindered." Kind of gives the wrong impression. The game isn't hindered ("to interfere with action or progress." - websters) at this point. It's completely impossible to get passed.

what sucks is there is a perfectly good card game featuring an assload of SNK and Street Fighter characters called Universal Fighting System. hell that UFS game even has Soulcalibur 3 characters in it.
i bought the DS game because i never played the neogeo pocket version, and was an avid UFS player. that glitch sucked and when i sent my cart back in all i get is an advertisement letter and a pack of trading cards. wish i could have gotten some playable cards, but guess that is what i get.
