Disney has announced that owners of the latest Pirates of the Caribbean game on the DS will find something else to do at their theme parks as, beginning tomorrow, special download locations will allow gamers to unlock new costumes and cheats for the game. Hidden near special Pirates attractions, these "X-marks-the-spot" hotspots will be littered throughout the parks. "We are committed about giving our Disney park visitors an innovative, relevant and rewarding experience every time they visit," said Michael Mendenhall, executive vice president of global marketing for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. If you happen to have access to one of these hotspots, send us a picture and we'll be sure to post it.

I was gonna put down bringing a DS to a theme park, but it would be one heck of a way to kill the time in line, wouldn't it?

I am going to WDW in November, and I will definitely bring my DS Lite with me to the theme parks! Maybe all the theme parks should start to do it! Once again, Disney innovation is the BEST!

I actually work in Disney World now, so I will have to check this out tomorrow and report with pictures. Strider, having a DS is a great way to kill time while in line, espcially during peak seasons like Summer.
