Today's update is for those of us who are more interested in the actual gameplay of Luminous Arc 2, rather than being hooked and unable to stop starin'. That's not to say that these screens don't look nice; in terms of SRPG presentation, they look great. They just lack round things in your face. The graphical style of the new game seems to be exactly like that of the last game-- isometric perspective, 2D art, dialogue accompanied by waist-up anime portraits of characters-- but that's just fine with us. Even reviewers had to shout about the graphics in the first entry. If Image Epoch revamps the control scheme, this may be quite worth looking into.

Impressed already. Better overworld design, translucent text boxes, more eye-catching menu screen. The control scheme doesn't need revamping as, unlike the touch screen controls, the button controls were just fine. My only wish after seeing these improvements is to be able to see the attack ranges of enemies as well as their movement ranges; having a less ambiguous way of acquiring Flash Points wouldn't hurt, either. Anywho, sold provided Atlus brings it here.

Okay, call me an idiot but, what exactly is a Strategy RPG? Like FF Tactics moving in little blocks? Or does the (S) just mean it has turn based combat like Grandia's or any FF?
It's like I woke up one day and suddenly there were new sub-genres I never heard of.
I hate those RPG's where you have to move around in little blocks.
