While we would've liked some better snapshots of the limited edition DS Lite, we're still drooling at this simple, yet sleek handheld. What makes things even worse is that we weren't even able to bid on the item, as its time on the auction block has come and gone.Made for the Australian market, according to the seller only 40 of them are even in existence in the country.

Is it irrational for me to declare i would pay $200 for that thing, even given that i have a DS Phat already (granted its a launch model, could do with replacing)

Is it just me or are the Aussie's getting all the good stuff lately? First the Phantom Hourglass pre-order case and now this.
*sighs*

Nintendo seems to be going on a kind of "Treat PAL right" thing lately. They've been giving some love to Europe and Australia, which while it is a good thing in its own, i wish they'd just give the stuff to everyone

Well, treating PAL nicely hasn't ever been a policy strictly enforced by any of the major gaming companies.
But i agree, worldwide releases are the way of the future. 10-15 years ago a worldwide release schedule would have been impossible/cost prohibitive. But now you can stick stuff on a plane and have it there the next day on the cheap.
But i always forget that companies don't want what's best for me, they want what is best for them.
Suprised they didn't go pink with a kirby face super imposed. Though i suppose this is a much classier way to do it.

It's just you.. We still haven't gotten Metroid Prime 3, for one thing. I remember this, I think there was a competition in the newspaper or something. Or was it a K-Zone mag.. Meh.

It was already finished by the time you found out about it? Sounds an awful lot like Squeak Squad! *rim shot*
