DS Daily: Gaming merchandise
Because we're all massive, shameless nerds here at Fanboy Towers, we like to bang on about gaming merchandise, be it plushes, gashapon, game soundtracks, figurines, or inflatable Slimes. We're not feigning enthusiasm for much of this, either -- our cluttered shelves are a testament to our love for non-game gaming items. We accept that so much of it is pointless, yet we find the desire to own a plush in the shape of a cartoon lawyer is not one that can be resisted by most mortal men.
Are you similarly hooked on gaming merchandise? Tell us about your collections, and make us feel better about ourselves.

I find myself fatally drawn to gaming collectibles as well.
Due to budget restraints, every once in a while I'll purchase something off of eBay or if I see something while I'm out. I have a very nice Kirby doll (not the squishy plushee, but an actual Nintendo/HAL licensed stiff plushee that stands on it's own two feet with Japanese writing all over the tag. Don't remember where I got it). Odd Final Fantasy collectibles and stuff, nothing really worth mentioning. But I love them nonetheless.
I try to get the bonuses that come with pre-ordering games (i.e. Phoenix Wright keychain! Castlevania PoR 20th anni.). Even though Nintendo's way of making up for a lack of Club Nintendo America is the pre-order bonus method, the extras available as of recently are paltry, if any. I would have loved a bonus with TWEWY or Ring of Fates. If anything, Nintendo should push Square to offer somethinng, with their egregious 40 dollar price point.

I'm a collector, and sometimes I think I have way too much stuff. Most of my collection consists of Final Fantasy action and trading figures - including some rather rare ones - but I also have some plushes (again, mostly Final Fantasy, but also some Kirby and Animal Crossing), keychains and cell phone straps (currently using a Tom Nook screen cleaner strap for my DS), artbooks, soundtracks, and some promotional materials (from E3 and elsewhere).
Right now on my desk is this year's Kingdom Hearts comic calendar, along with the soundtracks for Okami, No More Heroes, and Apollo Justice; two promo-only DDR music samplers; The Black Mages III arrange album; and, the current gem of my game music collection, the two-disk Club Nintendo-only Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack, still sealed. Game music is a particular love of mine, though physical copies of certain soundtracks can be very hard to find. Also, even though they aren't necessarily game-related, I've recently got hooked on Sega's Evangelion prize machine figures, and have four of them on my desk (four others reside elsewhere around here).
I tend to import many of my collectables straight from Japan - especially soundtracks and figures - but the exchange rate hasn't been too great lately...

Well... I've got a Sonic plushie, a Pikachu plushie and a Yoshi plushie... and a Pokémon Pokédex and a Pokéball. I've got a poster of all of the Pokémon up to and including Hoenn, and 5 Sinnoh on it too, and that's it... I think.
