We're pretty sure that at least one of you have solved the 10 math problems exercise in Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day. We aren't sure, however, that some of you have done it in 8 or less seconds. Considering this individual is exploiting the system a tad through the use of chicken scratch writing, we can't give him much credit.
OK, maybe we're just jealous...
As always, video is embedded into the post after the break.

hmm, I tried this myself and I can't get it to work, so I think this might be for real.

Did you look at what he was writing? His numbers are possibly optimized for DS recognition of small characters w/ minimal strokes, but he accurately answered every question so far as I could tell. Iiimpressive.

my best was 11 seconds, writing really tiny numbers similar to the video shaved 4 seconds off my previous total... now i am ready to storm some grandma's!

What exactly is the "exploit" here?

What is the exploit and what is the thing you see in the end?

I've always had trouble with Brain Age recognizing my 8's. The way I've tried getting around it is writing bigger, more obvious numbers, but maybe the method in the video is better. Oh, and #6, the thing at the end is the rocket, the fastest "speed" possible in the game (walking, cycling, car, train, and plane are the others, I believe).

Many times I've had something like this happen where I just tap the screen and it correctly answers the question.
I've also had it input the wrong answer before I could hit erase :

I'd like to ask as well....what exactly is the exploit here?
And here I was expecting answering "999999999999999"+shellcode to a math question would gain root access to the DS. heh.

Gotta agree with the others here - this guy is simply really good, part of which involves writing in the fastest recognisable way possible. Nothing 'exploit' related about it.
Kudos to him. :)

Man, he sure is good..
I can't manage to do it under 13 secs... my own record.
That said, it's the game I'm best in, but still slow compared to that guy...
And I thought I was good... *sob*

Hardly what I'd call an exploit, unless you're expanding the term to include "learning to write numbers the way the computer wants you to". It might have been a real exploit if he'd found some way of getting the same questions every time and that's how he's able to write the answers so quickly. From looking at this video though, kudos to him, it just looks like he's pretty damn fast!

Yeah, can someone explain what the exploit is? Everything looked like it behaved as expected - including the "rocket speed" screen.

Does anyone read the story? DS Fanboy say it's not an exploit in the end and they are just jealous!
