We've written about loads and loads of nifty ways to store your games, but when it comes to cases, what really gets your blood pumping? Are you all about form or do you lean more toward function? Do you need something that can haul the maximum number of games, or do you typically take just one or two games with you when you're mobile? Do you tend to get a little creative? We'd love to hear about what you like, what you don't, and which cases are your favorites.

I made my own DS (Phat) case out of Duck Tape. You can see an instructable here;

I made a duct tape case too! But mine was vertical, not horizontal. It had 4 DS game holders and 3 GBA game holders. But if I were to actually buy a case, I would need one that had JUST enough room for a DS lite and a few games. But usually I just shove my lite in my pocket, and my games in the other.

I use an old GBA case when I'm traveling long-term (because it can hold the DS, games, and charger). When I'm going to school or something, I prefer to have a simple 'sleeve' type case that adds minimal bulk but keeps the DS from getting scratched in my bag or pocket. I made one of those out of material from one of my wife's old sweaters.

I like to use the tins for Eclipse Mints to hold my games. Each tin is just wide enough fit a DS game either lengthwise or widthwise, and I can fit up to 10 (albeit a bit tight) games in one tin. They don't bounce around alot and it's really easy to toss it in your pocket or whatever.
They even come in a variety of colors and flavors!

A few months back, I picked up one of the DS Lite cases that Nintendo gave out at E3 this year from eBay. It's really nice, but there don't seem to be anymore on there now.

Who needs a case? I put my phat in a long tube sock. It doubles as a weapon.

Haha, Crazylink. Watch where you swing that thing.
I'm all about the duct tape cases, but I do think it's funny that more than one person had made one... that's great!

what do I look for?
Long walks on the beach, they have to cook, there has to be that attraction factor, and they must love RX-7's
oh yea, they also have to carry my DS lite.
Right now, my right pocket is doing a job, but I sense some betrayal with a threesome of car keyes and cellphones, so I might have to find a new partner aka left pocket.

I just want something that's small but will protect my DS from scratches. I couldn't find one that I liked, so I just made my own.

I don't use a case for the most part, but when I travel I use a MadCatz Travel Folio (got it at Best Buy). It carries the system, charger, games, manuals, etc.

I go for protection above all else, so I have an Intec Aluminum Safe Case (as seen here: )
for my DS Phat. There's pockets for 3-4 DS games, but I made a Duct Tape holder for another 4 games. You my be able to fit more if you have a DS Lite (it's thinner, so you could probably stack the games. My only complaint is that you'll have to carry charger(s) separately, and can only carry 1 or 2 game manuals. But, it's relattively small (think really thick paperback book) and there are no worries about damaging your DS.

oh my god!! eclipse mints tins! youre a genius, PsionStorm!
I'm not too fussy about cases, as long as it has room to store at least 6-10 games securely, and hopefully some spare room for misc stuff.

I find the best solution for games is a PC memory card case. I picked up one for 3 bucks at Wal-Mart, it holds 8 games nicely and zips shit. It's not humongus and it's not encased in some rediculous oversized hard case.

I have an original-DS case I got from Gamestop, for $20. It has 3 compartments. The DS compartment is nicely padded and not too tight. The games compartment has 8 smaller compartments, each holds 2+ DS games or 1 GBA game (there is a "flap" in the middle so it has essentially 4 "sides" with 2 compartments each). The final compartment is on the front and I keep my charger in there. It's too big to fit in my pocket, of course, but it's perfect for both storing my DS games (I have more than will fit in the bag since I don't like doubling up) and taking with me on business trips. I'm very impressed with it and I don't think I've seen it again since, unfortunately. This ( http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=801917 ) is the closest I could find and it seems to only hold 10 games instead of 16.

Soft case, non scratchy design, as many DS card as poss (most have gba storage, I find this pointless. Nice simple design without giant logos (MadCatz is out, Hori is in).

I myself am still looking for a good case for my DS Lite. I want the smallest hard case possible.. pretty much just something that encapsulates the DS as a small hard box. I can fit the DS lite in my pocket (where i keep it most of the time) but i want a hard case that will still fit in my pocket. Those hard cases that only cover part of the DS and leave the corners open do not appeal to me. Although i guess anything is better than my current Ziplock bag solution :\
