The good times don't end there, though. The frugal folks at CAG noticed a couple of weeks ago that Best Buy has been selling the "Konami's Best" version of the game at an astonishing $9.99. Combining this rock-bottom sale with "$5.00 off" coupons scanned from GamePro brings the price down even further to about $5.00!
We usually miss out on these insane deals, failing to get to the store in time before eBay hounds pick the shelves clean, but we drove to Best Buy anyway to see how we'd fare. We were surprised to find that our store had over a dozen copies, and that the GamePro coupon worked like a charm! Success!
Make sure you take advantage of this sale now, as it ends on April 1st, punishing the fools who've missed out. Head past the cut for the "$5.00 off" coupon.

Too bad the coupons say no copies.

Most BB stores will still take the copies, some may be picky however. I managed to snag a few for $5 about a week ago.

I have to really hand it to the guy who scanned this: he didn't even bother to save it to 300dpi. I sure like pixelation being noticed by the cashier, thus ruining my chance to get some cheap gaems....

$9.99 is cheap enough already to make this worth picking up. If you're the kind of person who bitches when someone makes an effort to help other people you're an idiot. Go rip the page out of a Gamepro if you're that desperate.

I bought it for $19.99 from Amazon when you told me to. Now you're telling me I could have had it for HALF or even a QUARTER of that price?!
That's it! Class action lawsuit against DSFanboy for $10 or a date with Karabinus. Who's with me?
By the way, Charles, I blame you for the price reduction. Stop resisting before they show up at your home and inject it into your veins!

I never did pick up Castlevania... it IS all my fault!
And I recently got Yoshi's Island and FFIII at Target with their $24 deal. Two new games on a system I haven't played since I got the Wii is plenty for right now.

I tried this this evening at the local BB, and it did not work. When I looked at the game on shelf, it was labeled $9.99, however at the checkout, it rang up at $19.99.
When I said that it was $9.99 on the shelf, they made me show them, at which point they rang it in for $9.99. They claimed that was an old sale price however, and shouldn't have been on the shelf at this point.
When I sprang the coupon, they said it was not valid with any other offer or sale price, so I could either take the game for the $9.95 sale price or apply the $5 coupon to the $19.95 price.
I still took the game for $9.95, but it looks like the $5 gig is up.
Anyone know if other companies will be following suit with greatest hits releases for the DS, and what the price point is supposed to be regularly?
