Oh this is going to be a tough week. I want both Etrian Odyssey and Touch the Dead. Going to have to drop some birthday gift hints or something.

I've been eagerly awaiting the "Your Order Has Shipped" email from play-asia.com for the past three weeks. Next week will be Ouendan 2 Week for me.

I really want Etrian, but I live in the UK so we probably won't get it for a million years. Hopefully my local import shop has a copy tomorrow!

And in a bizarre twist of events, I am currently waiting on Picross DS to make it's way across the pond to the US due to the lack of an official US release date

Clearly, someone has been mucking about with the natural order of things. THE SWINES!
Picross DS is very, very good though.
Very.

I am really looking forward to the Etrian Odyssey reviews, to see if it's a game I want to pay full price for.

@7 Kristi:
According to Metacritic, EGM gave it a 60, saying:
"Kids weaned on "Final Fantasy VII" likely won't have the patience for it, but questers of the appropriate age(and/or nerdy enough to dig the Yuzo Koshiro soundtrack)should dive in."
In other words, it's a dungeon crawler/rougelike, which tend to be very love/hate games

Etrian Odyssey isn't a roguelike at all. It's more akin to those back-in-the-day PC RPGs like Eye of the Beholder and Wizardry. Roguelikes are more similar to Diablo and it's ilk.

Etrian Odyssey...get ready to map and map some more... gone is the convenience of modern RPGs...the automap. You have to map EVERYTHING yourself...just like 20 years ago with Wizardry....sounds extremely tedious....draw each wall, mark each staircase, each trap, each monster etc....
