Games Radar has crafted another one of their hilarious Top 7 lists, this time about the "Top 7 Most Mispronounced Game Names." Nihon Falcom has two of the seven entries on the list, proving that they're kind of mean about titles. We remember that
every magazine article about
Ys back on the Turbografx-16 CD included a note about pronunciation ("ease"), because it's
really not obvious.
Topping the list is a certain Nintendo franchise whose name is delightfully, and intentionally, mangled by meme addicts across the web, including pretty much everyone here. Our mispronunciation: let us hint at it.

What about Super Mario Bros.? I've had to hear people say M(air)io for too long. Mario is an Italian name, Italian is a latin-based language, therefore the (a) in Mario is pronounced M(ah)rio, not M(air)io. MAH!

Oh wow, I was totally thinking to myself "How hard could THAT be, come on, FAX-AN-A-DU"
Then before the article, I was going "Wait... they don't seriously mean that it's pronounces Fazanadu?"
Wow... That just is such a mind altering revelation. I actually ordered this on ebay because I wanted to play it again that much. I think it was my first ebay purchase too.
Fazanadu... *sighs*

"Nowadays, thanks to the too-cool-to-care humor of the internet, you're more likely to see people using "Pokemans" than Pokémon. In an irritating twist, the people that actually know how to say the title correctly are purposefully saying it incorrectly."
SHAME ON YOU internet people. Living in your blagosphere with your too-cool-to-care humor! Propagating mispronunciation with cat pictures! Booh! Pahpahlakroah!
