When the day seems dull, devoid of any excitement or entertainment, it's nice to have a portable world to escape to ...

All you need is a library book, a favorite CD, or a good game to make those monotonous afternoons bearable, even when you're stuck walking through gardens with your grandfather for what seems like the twentieth time this summer! Just be careful not to trip over anything!
Like that episode of The Adventures of Pete and Pete, in which the younger, rascally brother used whatever means were available to realize his time travel schemes, we passed the tedious hours of our grade school years with John Bellairs novels, Nirvana's Incesticide, and Mega Man 1 for the Game Boy.

What do you find yourself turning to when you need a distraction? Don't be shallow and say the internet -- mention something that tells us a little about yourself.
