Considering the last outing the franchise had on the DS was a complete and utter failure, a lot is riding on this title. And, the developers behind the title, Traveller's Tales, are taking this seriously, as they rebuilt the game from the ground up, rather than recycling the first game's engine. In giving the game a play, Joystiq found that the title was not only impressive from a graphical standpoint, but also found the controls to be adequate. They're of the mind that the game should satisfy fans come the title's launch on November 6th.

This is very good news to read. I didn't know Traveller's Tales was also making the DS version this time around. Lego Star Wars 2 for the DS was a game i was really looking forward to mainly due to the Co-Op in wireless mode. I really wanted to play it with my girlfriend since we both have DS'. I wondered how, if they had such a hard time getting 1 game into the DS cart and make it work, would they be able to fit 2 games (LEGO Star Wars 1 and 2).
I really hope they keep the wireless co-op and now that Traveller's Tales is developing it i hope it maintains more of the LEGO Star Wars humor from the console versions. The cut scenes in the last game by Amaze Entertainment weren't as good.
