Is Greenpeace's report bogus?

Ars Technica seems to be crying foul over Greenpeace's
latest findings regarding Nintendo's eco-conscious actions. Turns out, "Penalty points can be deducted" if Greenpeace sees fit. Why would they deduct points? They're taken "from overall scores if Greenpeace finds a company lying, practicing double standards or other corporate misconduct."
Ars Technica seems to think that Nintendo's score is based entirely on a mission statement via Nintendo's website and less on an in-depth look at the company's practices. So, it's likely that Nintendo isn't as bad on the environment as they've been made out to be.

Good job changing the text in his speech balloon from "ribbit" to "Nintendo is A-OK in my book."

I don't care about Greenpeace. Maybe when Greenpeace puts out something as glorious as the DS then perhaps they will be a blip on my Care-o-meter. Nintendo could slaughter baby turtles for their DS cases and I'd still care more about Nintendo than Greenpeace. Christicles, I'd care more about a Green Peach costume variant than I do now about Greenpeace. To hell with Greenpeace. >_

Why doesn't the French Navy sink another Greenpeace ship like they did a few years back?

slaughtered baby turtles!? is THAT how they made aquarium by DS?
"Penalty points can be deducted" is a double negative. penalty points are bad by definition, so deducting them must be good!

lmao... yeah, sorry. You know who I meant though... right? But yeah, I noticed that as soon as I saw the chart. Saw that Nintendo and Microsoft were both at the end(Microsoft I can understand, though) and that sony was way to the right compared to the previous. Of course, I could just be talking out of my ass right now.

Wasn't there something a couple of months ago about Greenpeace giving Apple a low score just because they were a popular, in order to "raise awareness"?

Yes, thanks. That tends to color my view of their current stance on Nintendo...

I think your comments, Chase and SephFinale, were in very poor taste. Personally, I am not a member of Greenpeace but I respect their goal as should all. They look into the well being of the environment because it has large impacts on the well being of humanity. I would advise you to carefully consider the words you use as many could come across and ignorant and uninformed. P.S. I am a Nintendo fan (I own the Wii and DS) just not a fan of damaging our global home.

You've got to be kidding me. Are you some sort of greenpeace plant? Claiming that someone may come off as "ignorant and uninformed" is what greenpeace college activists say in an arrogant way in order to demean someone and ignore them. I find your comments to be in poor taste. Screw greenpeace.
