Orcs & Elves drops price

EA has dropped the price of the DS game Orcs & Elves. Supposedly, this is to commemorate the release of its sequel, Orcs & Elves II, on mobile phones (you can read id's press release here regarding that). We could care less about what it's commemorating, to be honest. We just like cheap games!

If you were on the fence regarding the game, maybe this new price of $19.99 will bring you down? Or, did you just not care for the title, regardless of price?

No!! Don't do it. It's the worst game ever!!!

If someone offers it for free, just run!! Run away, really. It will scar your taste for games forever.

Thank god someone else feels the same way. Some sites like GoNintendo won't stop praising it, and all I can think is how absolutely awful the game looks.

I might get this now. Especially if I could get one with the free stylus. Does anybody know if the copies of this on shelves still has that free stylus? I think it was for a limited time.

Brello: Thanks. I was thinking the same thing. And kicking myself.

Archibold: Limited time. Mine didn't come with a stylus. Might have made the $30 price tag a bit easier to swallow.

As for the game, I'd say $20 is the highest "somewhat reasonable" price one should pay. It's a shallow game, but not total junk. Bear in mind that it was originally designed as a cell phone game, and it remains a cell phone game even on the DS.

I will not buy Orcs & Elves II.

This game is a stinking pile of shit. No way around it. For more details, go give a listen to the Ultimate Quest podcast, at http://www.ultimatequest.net - search for "Orcs & Elves" and the right episode. I've taken the time to put myself through the pain of playing this game to review it for those of you who were on the fence, to convince you about this game being shit.
