Do you like to draw or paint, or maybe just sketch or doodle? Well, if you do, chances are you have the interest needed to buy You Can Draw Well in Ten Minutes a Day (1-nichi 10-pun de E ga Jouzu ni Kakeru DS). A DS adaptation of a popular how-to-draw book series, Draw Well uses audio and animation to walk kids through a simple drawing every day.Using collections of basic shapes, the game teaches kids to draw a collection of more than 100 animals, insects, and vehicles. The drawings can then be integrated into a set of minigames or used in animations.
A training game about drawing fits not only the DS's most popular genre, but also its unique capabilities better than just about anything else on the system. It's just a perfect idea for the DS.

This is a pretty cool idea. If more games like this get released and do well, maybe we'll get a decent drawing app on the DS without having to resort to homebrew.

OH GOD! Sorry Armimaan, who is cool! I meant to reply to the guy downstairs about the watercolor. I mean, he isn't shitty either. He just wants a program that has a feature that obviously exists that if implemented would help his artwork. That's cool too. I just thought my response would seem funny down there. H

Troy, that was, like, miles out of line. And not just because you replied to the wrong guy. That was just mean, and absolutely not how people should conduct themselves in our corner of the internet.
Anyway, Martin, the drawing tool can be adjusted to the size and opacity you desire. It can be every bit as much a pen as a brush. It's easy to make watercolor-looking things with Colors, but it's also as easy to make solid, dark lines as it is with any other drawing program. It doesn't lack accuracy at all.

A "decent" drawing app on the DS will never happen, unless they implement some really good stabilization technology. Drawing on the DS always turns out horrible; my rendering of Australia and a Koala Bear prove this.

Thanks for the heads-up, JC. That is actually pretty nice. However, watercolors are hardly an exact drawing exercise, so I think my original point remains valid.

I'm going to have to disagree with you also, Martin. People have done some pretty amazing (and realistic looking) things with it. Take a few minutes and browse through the gallery.
