DS Daily: Work and play

Semi-ironically, while our job (exclusively) entails talking about video games night and day, it doesn't leave as many openings as you'd think to play them. It's encouraged as a part of Game Night, and, of course, a required component of reviewing, but other than that, gaming at work is a no-go for us.

Do you have a DS-capable job? Have you been able to sneak a little Ouendan in at work occasionally, or are you in one of the rare and lucky positions in which you can openly make OBJECTION!s on your Senior Version? Some of you must have the sort of all-night desk jobs that lead to extra game time.

While I can't play at my own job, my hubby consistently works late and we carpool. I've gotten in quite a bit of game time hanging out in his cube after hours. This is the number one reason I bought my "senior edition". Thanks for making me feel old, btw. :P

I wish I could get away with playing at work - could be a nice break during lunch or waiting for a meeting. I might be able to pull it off with headphones, but I'm in the middle of a Dilbertesque engineering cube farm and nothing goes unnoticed or unpunished :).

Back when I was a security guard -- midnight to 7 am shift -- I would spend a lot of time gaming on the DS. Don't know what I would have done without it.

I work in a retail pharmacy and 2 years ago when I started here we were really slow and I had tons of time to play the ds. Now I'm only Lucky enough to play when I work on a weekend.

I get 15 minutes for break. One in the morning and one in the afternoon.

I played 2 puzzles of Layton this morning. The game is great.

I work super late at my local Hollywood theater as projectionist, so I tend to have a lot of time in a loud dark room to get my DS on.

I am a bit sneaky a work when it comes to playing my DS. When it is slow at work, we are able to surf the net, read a book, etc., but when it comes to playing my DS I have to be extra cautious not to cross that unprofessional line....and yes, I do bring the heat with phoenix wright when I can at work...hehe

Only games like Zelda or Pheonix Wright do i play at work, I usually cover the DS with pieces of paper, and sneak in a few taps and a few taps there...

I work tech support. The DS is sweet ambrosia for escaping the horror of the customer. I beat Phantom Hourglass in 3 days, mostly playing at work.
