Of the five, that last one caused much excitement in these parts, because it increases our chances of seeing some Disgaea goodness on our favorite handheld. We seem to recall NIS raising the possibility of a Disgaea port on the DS in the past!

Sigh, what's with DS Fanboy's fetish with SRPGs! Isn't there enough already on DS? Lets heard about some traditional turned based RPGs.

There's never enough SRPGs ever! More would be great I mean we only have a couple Hoshigami Remix and Luminous Arc being the only ones in english that are out with Rondo of Swords and Drone Tactics and FFTA2 (hopefully) coming soon.

I agree, I've never understood SRPGs. I want more turn-based RPGs in the Dragon Quest/Etrian Odyssey vein.
I must say though that the Disgaea anime is very funny and entertaining.

Well at least there's a variety to look out for. Sounds interesting to me, I've always liked Nippon Ichi Software (but not NIA's dubbing).

Disgaea is one of the best games I have ever played and NIS is my favourite companies. But I would prefer if they made either a new NIS title or a sequel/spin-off of Disgaea. Or Phantom Brave. Or Makai Kingdom. Or, to a lesser extent, La Pucelle or Soul Nomad.
I love disgaea, but It's just that I have played the heck out of it on the PS2 already, am about to put myself through hundreds of hours of the game on the PSP, and I really, really don't want to play through it all again a third. No matter how amazing it is.

Just the other night I was thinking about the distressing lack of Laharl and Prinnies in my shinny(between the copious reappearing smudges) new black NDS. This is very good news indeed.

My name should have shown up as Paul Brown. I was typing an email to a friend when my computer hiccuped and I ended up with his name instead where mine should have gone.

I love nippon ichi games.. but they really should have put a little more effort into their latest virus trailer: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/31001.html

I just purchased Disgaea for the PSP. I figure that for PSP and Tactics A2 for the DS when that comes out... still waiting.

I'm a big fan of SRPGs, but I'd much rather see something new than a Disgaea port. Why on Earth do we need a 3rd version of the game?

Disgaea IS awesome, yes, but I do wish Phantom Brave or another of their games could get some more attention too (as Alexisonfire has mentioned).
Luminous Arc wasn't all that fantastic, in my opinion. The story etc was fine but gameplay just seemed like a basic version of FFTA, etc. It seemed too ... shallow, if you know what I mean? Not as complex.
Anyway! I'll be looking forward to some NIS stuff in any case :)
