The Famitsu update today drops a boxart for the game, as well as a release date (June 5th), on us. While we're interested in seeing if this game can make us cry (we're the most manly of men, don'tchaknow), we're pretty darn certain this game would never be localized for the U.S., even though we've got plenty of training games of our own.

Couldn't agree with you more. If you want stupid crap like this, the don't buy a GAME SYSTEM!!!! But honestly, I don't think some stupid little story would make me shed a tear (srsly). The only things that would make me cry would be; getting hit in the crotch, suffering any other serious wound, having a pet die, having a family member die, etc. NOT some story about...I dunno. What would Japanese make it? Kittens being homeless?

You're no worse than those gamers who love gore and say that the DS only has "kiddy" games.
The DS is supposed to appeal to a BROAD spectrum of people. By bringing in casual gamers, they increase sales and create future customers. And now we'll have emotional people buy DS Lites ;D Besides, it's not like we're heartless. Show some sympathy. I call bull to anyone that says a video game has never made them cry.

I'm hoping that someone will buy this exclusively for the Japanese girl on the cover, only to be saddened later and crying a river.

I meant to nitpick the first time this game was mentioned, but a better translation would be 99 Tears rather than Tears of 99.
