If you haven't picked up Rondo of Swords, you might not have noticed the heavy Arthurian influence on many of the character names. As we were preparing one last set of screens for the Atlus SRPG, we started to notice a few names in the character pictures. Kay, Serdic, Uther, Igraine, Galahad ... there's no ignoring Galahad, even if you're not familiar with the intricacies of the legend and its different versions. So if you're looking for something to do while the battle scenes play again and again and again, keep a copy of The Once and Future King nearby, or maybe something a little lighter, like Gillian Bradshaw's Hawk of May. After playing Rondo of Swords, the characters will seem like old friends.Round Table of Swords

I've been on the fence about whether to pick this up, but so far the reviews seem to be on the negative side regarding the battle system, which is obviously the most important element of the game.

Alisha, have you actually read "The Once & Future King?" It isn't exactly heavy reading...

No, it's not, but the language is a bit more archaic than that in Bradshaw's books, which some people consider something of a turn-off.

I just picked this game up last night (so I haven't played any of it yet). But they've got a deal going on at Toys 'r us where you can get 50% off of either Rondo of Swords or Baroque when you buy Crisis Core. Nice way to save yourself $15+ if you were planning to pick them up anyways.

flippin hard. i can't even beat the second half of the tutorial lessons (which, by the way, basically say figure out how to do this yourself). it's interesting, but very difficult. they are like puzzles with only one solution. i've tried to make it through the first part of the game 4 times now and i just keep getting killed.

I'm playing this game, and I have to say, it's ridiculously hard.
One can easily be killed in the first mission alone if one's careless.
