Like some sort of delicious extra content jam, Nippon Ichi is spreading exclusive content all over the DS edition of Disgaea: Prince of the Demon World and the Red Moon, hoping to reel in those who have already played previous versions. Will what has been announced so far -- multiplayer, new characters, and touchscreen controls -- be enough for you hardened Disgaea veterans to pick up the DS game? And, speaking more broadly, how effective is extra, DS-only content at luring you into purchasing a game you've played extensively elsewhere?

Extras don't entice me. If I want a portable version of a game I know and love, then I buy it.

The portable aspect of the game is what has convinced me to pick up a game I've already sunk (literally) 300+ hours into and, insane as it sounds, do it all over again. I did the same thing with Final Fantasy Tactics on the PSP.
Normally, if there is extra content on a game brought to a portable system, I won't look at it if I already have it. But some titles, SRPG's especially, play way smoother on PSP or DS. It is much easier to go through a battle anywhere and being able to put your system to sleep, than to leave your system on when you have something else to do.
But being a huge Nippon Ichi fan, I think I would buy Disgaea again if they released all those features on a PS2 remake. But I'm just crazy.
