But, brushing the My Japanese Coach aside, what other languages do you wish they'd make helpful software for? My Klingon Coach? How about My Simlish Coach? Do you want something a little more grounded in reality, like My Greek Coach or something?

I don't think we have Latin classes here.

Depends on where you live maybe? I'd love to have had the option of Japanese in school, like they do in many American schools. We did have Latin and ancient Greek (in addition to the standard English, French, German of course).

In reality, schools that provide access to more than one language tend to be located in wealthy suburban school districts--at least in America. Access to anything at least semi-exotic to Americans such as German, Latin, Japanese, et cetera is far from standard. I only had access to Spanish, which was fairly disappointing. Not that I have anything against Spanish, of course--I just would have at least liked a choice.

You can do Latin in school, but it's fun to have an aide to help.
I used to dig up Latin texts on Project Gutenberg for my Latin. A Nintendo DS title would have been more awesome.

Yup I guess it depends on where I live. I'm in the Philippines if it helps... I haven't seen any Latin classes offered here. Although Chinese, Japanese and Korean are very popular.
Oh... a Korean one will be nice too...

I concur, as much as I'd love to learn Japanese, German, Russian, Greek, Hebrew, Esperanto, etc. I would like to have a game that would help me refresh the one other language I'm fairly familiar with besides English.
Whether or not it is offered in schools is a meaningless point of contention for the release of a training game. Not everyone is still in school or has an open time to take the course. And those that are taking such a course might want some extracurricular aid in studying/learning.

How about German? I'm actually really surprised that there isn't any German Coach and since German is required in my school, it'd help me out a lot.

Considering its the most spoken language in the EU, and probably the fourth most significant language to world business (under English, Chinese, and Japanese respectively), I'm disappointed there isn't one.

Ditto on German. With French and Spanish, the logical next step in European languages would be German. That'd about cover every public American high school offering.
Alas, I'll just have to buy "Mein Wortschatz Coach" when I travel to Germany and hope I know what's going on in game.

I third that!
I actually took german before, but I'm not the best with languages, so having a video game to insulate what I have already learned would be nice, especially since I'm too darn lazy to actually look through my vocab and grammar notes. ^^;;

Yeah, I'd like a German Coach. I keep pining for one, because I'm learning it on my own, and it would be massively helpful to have something like that.
