Space Imbibers

These awesome water bottles would be perfect for keeping hydrated during marathon sessions of a certain notoriously addictive arcade game. Or maybe just for filling up with delicious Tang and sitting down at home with some Space Invaders Extreme. These aluminum bottles feature beautiful, vintage Space Invaders art and come with carabiners, in case you want to carry one up a mountain. NCSX will offer these in April at $12.50 each. The aluminum is apparently quite hardy, so trying to shoot through it to reach Invaders is not a sound strategy.

They're also taking preorders on a set of three Space Invaders keychains, each consisting of an Invader encased in a plastic cube for your safety.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker has hard-to-picture bonus

According to RPGamer, copies of Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker preordered from Amazon, GameCrazy or GameStop will include a "combination DS charm, keychain, and map." Apparently the map can also be used as a screen cleaner.

Alone, none of these are particularly unusual giveaways. The cloth map has been an RPG box standby since early Ultima, and keychains are ubiquitous as preorder bonuses. But in combination? Are we really supposed to hang our keys from our DS? We'll need more than a screen-cleaning map (that part, at least, is super-clever) to buff out the hundreds of scratches to the surface of the system.

Keychains - because there can never be enough Final Fantasy swag

Sure, figures are cool, and special edition Lites are nice. You can even track down clocks and badges if you're a real Final Fantasy fan. But what compares to chocobos hanging from your keychain? That's right -- different types of chocobo keychains!

Okay, okay, maybe we're a bit overzealous at times with our Final Fantasy fandom, but chocobo keychains are just too cute to resist. And if you don't like cute little chocobos (i.e., if you're not human), you can pick up something else, like a moogle or a black mage.

Custom Robo Arena keychain screwdriver

Nintendo has made it a point to package the games it sends out for review with a creative gift. Several gaming publications received their copies of Custom Robo Arena today, and were pleased to find their parcels padded with a relevant bonus: a branded keychain that transforms into a set of screwdrivers.

Custom Robo Arena
lets you customize futuristic robot frames and send them out to holographic arenas for tournament battles. You will be able to upgrade and combine parts for your robot gladiators just like in the original GameCube game. That's where the handy screwdriver comes in!

Custom Robo Arena
hits stores early next week, so expect to see reviews for the game soon.

Japan is crazy for DS-themed keychains

Seriously, they have got to be with so much keychain crap thrown around in that territory. But we really can't comment, as we do not live there and have never visited. Still though, they aren't the toy capital of the world because they're always peddling junk wares, as exhibited by the very tasteful and highly-desirable keychains pictured above.

We have no idea if those game cases actually open up, or if the DS hinges are functional, but we want them nonetheless. What about you?
