We've looked at a couple of things lately -- cosplay and crafts -- that serve to remind us that the official Day of Costumes is just around the corner. Are you dressing up for anything this year? If so, gonna incorporate something from the gaming world?Must confess that we are indoctrinating the boychild early ... my chubby baby is gonna be a moogle for his first Halloween. I'm going to just prep some cards with moogle information that I can hand out every time someone asks what he is, which will probably be about every four seconds.

Not this year. I'm gonna be a biologist who discovers demented animals. Hopefully it will show up my dressing up as a head in a jar (a la Futurama) and wearing black, dressing up as a puppet and wearing black, the great pumpkin (with a cloth of something mysteriously blue) and if we go back further, Princess Peach (I thought that it would be fun to be a boy dressed up as a girl. Sadly, people thought I was a girl. I've learned my lesson. Don't dresss up as a girl without five AM shadow.

Well, my wife and I are "too old" to go trick or treating, so we're planning to take advantage of the fact that she looks like she's 13 years old to go out and score free candy without being told that we are too old and not given any candy. Sadly, this year we'll be moving on Halloween, but we're not into doing video game costumes because we only play obscure RPGs, and she's got small breasts and I'm big and fat, so we don't even remotely look like anyone in video games, since they're all muscular and lean and, if female, have gigantic tits.

I'm going to go as Guitar Hero.
Get a black shirt (or maybe a striped one to make things easier?) and some G/R/B/Y/O felt, some white felt, cut out felt circles, attach to shirt. Make "Rock Meter" out of felt or cardboard if I'm lazy and attach to shirt. Ta dah!
