Just have a gander at this one created by Yannis Bolman that was posted on the NGCFrance forums. Boasting an analog stick, a compact folding mechanic and GBA SP aesthetics, this may just be one of the best whimsical design dreams we've laid our almost fully decayed eyes on. The Touch Mode position looks like it may be a bit uncomfortable to hold, but then we've said the same thing after an extended session of Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt. Let's hope the real (and still rumored) redesign doesn't end up disappointing us.
[Thanks Pikkewyn!]

Asside from the fact that the idea in the picture would be rather odd to hold without a good locking mecanism, and even if it did have one, it would probably break rather quickly, I still really like it!
I think the speakers are above the top screen. Theres some slits there.

They are one the top screen at the very top. The 2 lines on the left and right next to the dots.

looks an awful lot like the speakers are those two slats at the top of the top screen...
cool mock up...
just bought a DS and a PSP together, for reviewing/comparison.. DS is so far much better for games, I will buy a revision the day it hits...

first thought is that the mock up is cool but would be way to fragile for gameplay, i'd break those hinges for the analog controlers way two quick. second thought ummm i guess i don't have a second thought, other than it looks like an ibook.

Nice... but no analog stick. Ninny ain't gonna start adding radical features like a stick all of a sudden.
The folding business look great, but structurally would be weak.

jah75157, you managed to use two of the three spellings of "to/too/two", both times meaning to use "too" but never quite getting there. Truly a feat. Kudos, sir, kudos.

Thats a nice mockup. Only thing I'd change is to put the shoulder buttons on the center piece so they're available when it's folded up. That way you could use thumb strip and 1 half of the buttons for games like Mario 64 DS and Metriod Prime: Hunters. While I'm dreaming, how about giving the top screen the ability to swivel 180 degrees and fold down for a classic GBA setup without the bulky extra screen hanging up there. Also, I agree that the analog stick isn't necessary, especially since this might make using the thumb pad as a stick a little more comfortable and intuitive, instead of having to reach up from the bottom or over the control pad.

I guess I should quit posting when I'm drunk, thanks for the grammar tips chris. I bow to you vast knowledge of the english language.
by the way both kudos and sir are nouns, and two nouns can not be a complete sentence. For it to be a complete sentence one would have to add a some more words. Next time you point out someone's misspellings I would suggest ending it properly with something like this: Kudos, to you sir, kudos.

i stand corrected now that i thought about it i realized that adding to you, a prepositonal phrase, really adds nothing to the sentence. And since kudos was used as an explative, as a result you used perfect grammer. My hat off to you sir, sorry to jump the gun, but for some reason I felt the need to defend my drunken ass.
