How to set the alarm on your DS -- info you could care less about

If you don't have the convenience of a Wal-Mart in your area to purchase an alarm to wake you for your daily adventures or lack the money to buy one, yet have enough dough to get a DS, then by all means, use the alarm feature. Honestly we think it silly.

We didn't even realize there was a need to create a guide to set the DS alarm. It is pretty simple after all. Even if you don't know how to tell military time, Google can help you out in 0.07 seconds (we checked).

What do you all think? Can you even hear the DS to wake up? Do you use the DS alarm feature to rise and shine every afternoon to catch the newest episode of Project Runway?

21. It is actually a rather sophisticated alarm. It has more features then most travel alarms. The touch screen acts as a snooze button. It slowly ramps up the volume until you shut it off. It was a well designed feature by Nintendo.

A "muffled wannabe telephone ring that progressively gets louder" just seems to be a little easier to wake up rather than the atomic sized decibel blast to the face that most clock alarms are. Maybe it's just me...

23. I use the DS alarm when I visit my in-laws house. It's a nice portable alarm clock that I have with me anyway, and it beats hunting down one of my brother/sister-in-laws alarm clocks and figuring out how to reset them for myself.

So yeah... maybe only once every two months, but it comes in handy. I can't use my cell alarm there as I have no service out at their place. :(

25. Dude, my DS collects dust since I prefer the PSP. The alarm clock is probably the only reason I keep it! :-)

28. No matter how annoying an alarm is, I will get used to the sound after 20 or so days and the alarm becomes a part of my dream. So I have to alternate between different alarms. I use the DS, hooked up to the Logi-tech speakers in my room [cranked all the way up]. Now that I have a homebrew MP3 player program with an alarm function built in, I can just switch whichever song will play when the time comes.

29. Wake up to the DS alarm every morning, which has replaced our alarm clock (casts little light at night compared to normal clock).

Works great - like it a lot, though the lady swears sometimes it "malfunctions".

As to alarms, I have never tried to use my DS alarm before, but now I think I will give it a shot. But erm... @ 23 - Your cell phone alarm should work whether you have call service or not. It is an app built into the phone and doesn't rely on signal strength. o.o
