DS Daily: If you were going to mod ....

Yesterday, we talked about the handhelds you have -- today, we're going to talk about the handhelds you'd like to have, if you had the money, time, and skill to put into personalizing your DS. If you could mod it up with little to no risk, what would you do? What sort of DS would fit your personality and gaming style? Would you go for something outrageous, or just a simple shift in color?

We like mods, and love to post about them (see a few of our favorite examples), so if you're a modder, tip us with pictures and we'll be happy to share your work with the world!

If i were going to mod my Lite, and knew what i was doing electronicly i would add a 3 mega pixel camera to the back of it.... and you push the R button to take the picture. i guess i would add a flash too. It doesnt seem impossible... espically since every cell phone, no matter how small, seems to come with a camera these days. You could store the pics on an empty cart...

but like i siad, i have no idea where i would start.

I think it would be quite cool to mod a DS so that it didnt open like a DS anymore. No more of this "I'm a mollusc, RAA!" design, bring on some sweet slide-n-spin action or something.

Other than that, I'd up the speaker quality and max volume - make the DS a little audio powerhouse.

I would love a NES (not Famicom) Game Boy Micro or DS Lite. With the Game Boy Micro it would only have to be a face plate, though.
Also, there is no way I would do it myself, only official Nintendo jobs for me please.
