We can think of one thing in particular that could elevate this new version over its predecessors: delicious online multiplayer. We're dreaming of future Game Nights already.

Oh, it's no rumor:

Famitsu has screens.
Tetris Attack with WiFi?? Count me in.
I still play Tetris Attack on my PC once in a while. I was hoping it would see a release on Wii's Virtual Console, but Tetris Attack with WiFi is A LOT more appealing.

It's probably blasphemy to say this, but I've always kind of preferred this game to the original Tetris.

No, it's not. I 100% agree with you that this game is more preferable to vanilla Tetris. TA/PdP has MUCH more strategic and competitive action gets HECTIC. You try unleashing a 9x chain combo.
This game is made of WIN and CHALLENGE.

"This marks the first time we can think of that the same game has appeared on both the Game Boy Advance and the DS."
What about Scurge Hive?

I forgot about Scurge:Hive. Did that end up coming out on both platforms? I'm surprised it ever came out at all.
I guess we live in a world where Chulip got released, so anything's possible.

I've been enjoying the Dr. Mario and Puzzle League combo on my GBA for a while now. I originally imported it to play Dr Mario, and was surprised to discover what a killer title Puzzle League (Panel de Pon) is.
Since then, I've been play the Homebrew Tetris Attack on my DS, but a wifi version would add another level to the proceedings. I think I've clocked up more Tetris DS online hours than any other DS game.

And what do you suppose they'll call THIS version of the game. Super Ultra Tetris Attack Puzzle League Pokemon Online Challenge?
Actually, anything's fine as long as they keep the Pokemon out.
Gotta Kill 'em All!
