We found some non-scanned screenshots of Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword on Tecmo's website, and we are officially convinced. It looks great. The DS isn't exactly the most powerful system for 3D, but this does a pretty good job of making things look like real things and not piles of jaggies. The graphics actually recall the look and color scheme of the Xbox Gaiden well enough for us to maybe give the stylus-based control scheme the benefit of the doubt for a while.Too bad the nice graphics are all for a game that will cause us to jam our stylus into the freaking screen and stab over and over again, if it's anything like the brutally difficult Xbox version. We loved Ninja Gaiden, but it sure didn't love us.

While I'm excited about another Ninja Gaiden game, the last time I played was on the original NES. And I must confess, the idea of a 3D Ninja Gaiden does not fill me with hope.
It's as if 3D games on the DS are shorter by requirement. Maybe that 3D-ness takes up too much space on the card and leaves no room for long storylines. A game that can be beaten in a few days, to me, is not worth the money.
Let's hope Ninja Gaiden doesn't have this problem, or finds unboring ways to stretch out the gameplay.

Maybe you should try playing the xbox version of Ninja Gaiden or Ninja Gaiden Black before criticizing 3D Gaiden.

Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox handed me my ass on a platter. And that was just from entering my name at the beginning! I'm kidding, but the game is hard as hell. I don't want to throw my DS into traffic, so I might pass on Dragon Sword.

What an odd and random comment, Blue. What exactly did I say in criticism of 3D Gaiden? Are you sure you know what that word means? Check a dictionary, get back to me.
