Luckily for people hoping to get their New Game+ on in SNK vs. Capcom Card Fighters DS, SNK is aware of the game-breaking bug. Unfortunately, they'll have to wait more than six weeks to get their hands on a repaired game.SNK president Ben Herman released a statement on SNK Playmore's official message board stating that they have ordered new cartridges from Nintendo, which will take six weeks to receive. At that point, SNK will issue instructions for getting your game switched out for a corrected one. Be patient! Don't return the game to the store yet, because the replacement copy will have the same issue.
Anyone out there playing Card Fighters DS? We wonder how many people this issue affects. That's a nice way of saying we wonder how many people bought this game.

I was actually going to buy this game until I heard of the bug. When it gets fixed, I may or may not go pick up a copy.

Me and a buddy of mine have been looking forward to this ever since news of it first surfaced. In fact, it was a large part of the reason that he bought a DS.
So it's good to hear that SNK are doing the decent thing. Any news on how I can be sure that the version I pick up in the store will be a fixed version, and not an old buggy one?

No idea it's likely the stores will just have the bugged ones. They don't pull defective video games off the shelves. You will have to do a replacement period.

Its good that they're going to fix the game stopping glitch in the new game plus, but what about the terrible translation job they did on the game and the cards whos abilities don't read quite right. This has got to be one of the worst jobs I've ever seen, almost comparable to Toaplans Zero Wing except theres nothing funny in this one. Theres double sentances, missing puncuation, missspelled words and sentances that make no sense galore! The only good part is after you kind of figure out whats going on and what the cards REALLY do, the gameplay isn't bad.
