With less than two weeks to go before The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass' June 23rd release in Japan, Nintendo has launched an official site for the ARPG with several new videos. The clips mimic the commercials that've been advertising the handheld adventure in Japan, showing off Link's new touchscreen movement and controls. We know that you hate to pay long-distance fees for visiting sites outside of the country, so we went ahead and embedded the movies after the post break. Really, there's no need to thank us -- let's just say you owe us one.[Via Jeux-France]

I hope you don't have to use your stylus to walk and fight

From what i gather, the stylus just seems to equate to the control stick of GC Zelda fame
it seems buttons will still be used for everything else
It might be nice, especially if they used the D-pad for camera control, and utilized the X, Y, and Shoulder buttons for item usage

If it's mostly stylus, I'm not going to be alarmed, looks fun to use.

I'm looking forward to the stylus controls, personally. I hate d-pad control in zelda games.
I'm a bit worried by what seems to be a tiny pause when you hit enemies though... I hope I'm imagining things and that it wont get annoying...

That pause is pretty common in Zelda games. You can see it in WindWaker and Twilight Princess. It's for dramatic effect and deliberate.

I can't believe no one has said anything about the hilarious bash.org convo referenced in the ending of the post. http://bash.org/?142934 . I do hope this game is moderately difficult, it would be really annoying if it was as short as say, Minish Cap. Stylus controls are kind of annoying, but we'll see when it comes out.
