Okay, we were cool with our new big brother-in-arms -- after all, we had some sweet connectivity to look forward to, and it just gave us more excuses to crow about Nintendo taking over the world with devices what print crisp new bills. But today's announcement ruins everything. We hate you, Mr. Johnny-Come-Lately Wii, because you stole our Trauma Center.Listen, we think it's keen and all that Trauma Center: New Blood is going to do what the first Wii port didn't -- that is, feature actual character voices and video. Y'know, the sort of things one expects from a console game. The text adventure style of the DS game suited the DS just fine, but once the game made the jump to the Wii, we expected a lot of things we didn't get. We also think the
We know it's a bit rich to complain about Atlus, considering the flood of announcements today. But really, why have they taken away our surgery game? We're so sad. You've cut out our hearts, Atlus ... and the healing touch of other new games just isn't enough.

Just as the Mario/Wario Land series fit to Game Boy and 3D to home consoles, so too should Cooking Mama and Trauma Center cater to each. There's the motion on the Wii and tactile feedback on the DS.

I really hope they bring it to the ds as well. I personally dont like the controls on the wii but i understand some people do. hopefully Nintendo will cater to both audiences.

I think the answer is fairly simple:
They invested in porting the Engine. So the engine is there.
Now, they've got 2 engines, one for the DS and one for the Wii.
The DS one lets them cash in at 35 bucks/player, while the Wii one lets them get 50 bucks/player.
I don't need to do some very basic math here, but based on which path they took, we can guess where this is heading.
Now, to sweeten your tongues, there's a very 90% chance (I just pulled that number out of a monkey's ass!) that there'll be Trauma Center: New Blood 2: Devil's Soul or something ported to the DS

I own and played both versions of the original and preferred the Wii controls by far. The DS version is an exercise in frustration.
