Just yesterday we showed you some of Games Radar's choices for the worst examples of boxart in 2007. There are certainly many more important aspects to a game, but how significant is boxart to you? Have you ever decided to buy a game based purely on awesome boxart, or vice versa in the case of an ugly cover? Maybe it's something you barely even notice? And, what are some of the best or worst examples of DS boxart that you can recall?Weigh in with your opinions here, folks; that's what the comments section is for.

I still wish we had gotten the Japanese box-art for Phantom Hourglass, it's just so beautiful.

I don't tend to make my decisions based solely upon boxart, but I think that the amount of attention paid to the boxart is usually a pretty good indicator of the quality of a title.

I never see my DS boxart, it sits on a bookshelf. That said, I really don't care about boxart anyways. Unless it's something stupid, like Konami's boxart of a boxart of Dawn of Sorrow. That was a classic, complete with dual ESRB ratings!

If i'm in a store looking at all of the nintendo ds games, the box art matters. I need something to catch my eye. If the front of the box doesnt look exciteing then i just stroll rigth past it.
But its a totaly different story if i've heard that a game is good, if everyone is saying that a certin game is good then its worth forgeting about the box art.( I'll always buy a Harvest moon game no matter what the box art looks like)

When I was five years old, I bought (or rather my aunt bought for me) the original Dragon Warrior solely because of the awesome box art. Little did I know that this would become one of the best selling games of all time.

Personally, I never really pay attention to boxart... games cost enough these days and I THOROUGHLY review the game ever before stepping into a store to purchase it. However, I did pick up a PSP a couple weeks ago and purchased two games for it: Castlevania Chronicles and Naruto. Now I had done some research for Castlevania, but Naruto was bought on a whim because of, you guessed it, the box art... it was a mistake... I love anime, but have not seen Naruto yet, but I just don't "get" this PSP game.
