It's not the lowest price we've seen the remade Final Fantasy III sell for, but Gamestop's latest price drop isn't bounded by a sale period. Now that Final Fantasy IV is on the way, it's just the right time to drop Final Fantasy III to $20 and use it as a marketing tool for the new game. That's our theory, anyway.That's not to say you necessarily have to feel like a pawn in some devious plan -- you can just buy a cheap game and enjoy hours and hours of dungeons and leveling. Cheap RPGs are great, because you get so much entertainment for the price.

I don't know how Gamestop selling the game at the price qualifies as it "settling at $19.99." I have not seen a single other outlet selling it below 29.99, and some still have it at 39.99. Besides, as most of us know, due to their shady gutting practices, Gamestop's "new" games aren't really new.

I got it from Circuit City for 20 bucks like 2 weeks ago. Because I had two of those 5 dollar coupons for being in the frequent buyers club at Best Buy and they didn't have any games i wanted at BB so I went to CC and they let me use them.
The coupons feel wasted now that I know I could have gotten it for that price at Gamestop....
