Time is short, soldier! March on over and throw your name in if you want a chance at Advance Wars: Days of Ruin, plus the Fullmetal Alchemist Trading Card Game and a nifty accessory. You've got two chances to enter -- today and tomorrow -- but only if you go comment on the original post!

DS Fanswag: Take over an Advance Wars prize pack!

If you don't already have a copy of Advance Wars: Days of Ruin ($34.99), then rest assured: we're here for you. Not only do we have one up for grabs, but we're going to include a couple of spiffy extras to make your day that much brighter. We're offering up not only the best war/strategy game to release so far this year, but you can also pick up a copy of the Fullmetal Alchemist Trading Card Game ($14.99), as well as one of those spiffy Jimi Multimedia shells ($8.95) as an extra bonus. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post answering the question below between now and February 5th. The contest closes that night at 11:59 PM EST, and we'll announce one lucky winner the next morning. It may even be you!

As with most of our contests, you can enter once per day, and as usual, is limited to legal U.S. residents age 18 or older. For any other questions you may have, check the official rules.

Question: When it comes to Days of Ruin, are you more interested in online play, or single player?

Jimi Game Shells take on multimedia

Months ago, the folks behind the Jimi line of products did something very smart: they made a DS accessory. Clearly, we approve of this production line, considering our rabid fandom. Sure, there are lots of other options, but most of those are either limited to DS-only, or are more open, leaving your various cards rattling around so loudly that they could be used to entertain infants. We were hoping that the new Jimi shells would provide a solution that suits the best of both worlds -- but at first glance, that was a no.

Determination, however, sometimes means taking a closer look.

Jimi Game Shells wrap your babies in recycled goods

Every now and then, someone produces a product that just makes sense, and the Jimi Game Shell is a great example. We already know that DS games are incredibly tiny; in fact, so much of our media these days comes, like dynamite, in small packages. SD cards, memory sticks for the other guys, and our own games, and we're always looking for great new storage solutions. So when the folks behind the Jimi Game Shells offered to send us a couple of samples for a test drive, we jumped on it.

The idea of a small, separate case designed just for our DS games is nothing new; some cases include storage space for games, and there are a variety of retail solutions. They're also great fodder for preorder swag, and there's always the DIY route. But what makes the Jimi shells so interesting is that they're designed to hold a variety of media ... and they're made from eco-friendly (well, friendlier) recycled polypropylene.
