If you still needed convincing of the DS Lite's considerable improvements upon the original DS design, Shacknews has now posted their analysis of the Enamel Navy variant. Of course, you won't even bother reading it since you're clearly the most stubborn person in the known universe. As usual, the culprits behind the Lite's criminal allure are present and accounted for here: Brighter screens, more tactile buttons, a better stylus, sleeker trimmings and the ability to gather a wide variety of dirty fingerprints. It's interesting to note that the Enamel Navy unit looks almost pitch black in the photographs, though that may be attributed to weird lighting conditions and/or meteorological phenomena.

You've heard the term 'beating a dead horse' before, right dsfanboy? Well, I think we're splitting the poor ol' ds phat's disassociated atoms by now.
Now ... *grabs On-Topic, chloroforms him, ties him up, stuffs him in a bag*
So, I suddenly became curious. How much do you think DS ownership influences people to desire a Revolution? (RevGolution? hah)
Everyone's probably already thought about this by now, but I'm slow, bear with me. Was the DS a market test to see if the Rev would be viable? Or was it a shoe in the door in the collective subconcious. Now the distinction between those two questions is really this: How likely was Nintendo to change their plans for the Rev depending on the DS's success? Would they have gone ahead no matter what? Or would they have released a beefier console, with a maybe-motion-sensative GC controller?
And how successful do you think this supposed plot has been? How many of you think you'd put far less credance in the Rev if you hadn't seen the DS work so well?
(The [*fanboy|joystiq] sites really need a forum, or if it exists, I need to be pointed to it.)
*dumps On-Topic's limp body on the street and skitters off*

Seriously Ludwig! My GAWD! I read this and disagreed and felt overwhelmingly compelled to have a tantrum in your comments!
Since the DS Lite exists now, you should completely forget about the older DS that most everyone in the world still owns, and avert your critical eye from making any further comparisons between the two, lest we all potentially learn something interesting.
Now to return to stapling my forehead.

Jesus guys, all these "rounds" and "if you need more convincing..." are just a figuer of speech, to smoothen out the introduction to the news entry.
Figure it out already. It's a meaningful entry in its own right and Ludwig has done it correctly.
