Starfox Command screens and info

In their ongoing coverage of Starfox Command, Famitsu has revealed some interesting tidbits about the game as well as unveiled several new screenshots and game art. Turns out Fox is all alone now, with his comrades having gone on to greener pastures. With Falco off exploring the vast regions of space, Peppy taking up the role of a general, and Slippy having found the toad of his dreams, Fox continues to fight the good fight alone. This game also marks the return of Star Wolf.

Gameplay will be handled via two distinctly different modes. In the map mode, you're charged with using the stylus to trace out a route to your designation, encountering enemies along the way, which then takes you into the adventure mode where you can fly your plane and take out said enemies.

1. So I guess this means that no one will be around to tell me to do a barrel roll...? :(

2. OMFG i cant wait i hope u get to play as star wolf maybe as an unlockable and if there is a wifi mode then i hope there is some character customization...that would be so cool!

Im a nerd...

3. ROB is with Fox, although "Do a barrel roll!" in robotic tones does it no justice.

You could always tell your self to do one, wouldn't look and sound too weird on the train...

4. And I'll bet Slippy's sweetheart is an androgenous toad named Pat.

5. Eh...I don't like that artstlye. I prefer how they looked in Star Fox Adventures.
So he's by himself. What about Krystal? Left him for Wolf Lol.
How many years now? Let's say Fox is 18 in the 64 version. 8 years passed until Adventures. So 26. Seems to make sence in that game. Then a couple more years until Assault. Then even more years until DS. So Fox is in his 30s! Of course, he' not human...

6. Star Fox adventures puts Fox at... 23, if I read the comic right and don't suck at sums.

Krystal is bound to show up again eventually, we've already seen her on character select screens from E3, and I don't think pink is a very Star Wolf colour.

I bet she's gone off to find out more about her parents, because she was searching the galaxy for answers about their deaths at the beginning of adventures before she got Sauria’s distress signal.

Would be cool if something about her past turn out to be key in defeating the new enemy.

7. is Fox holding a phat DS? and if so is the headpiece a clue for some multiplayer chatting functionality?

Posted at 4:46PM on Jun 15th 2006 by splurge

8. Aw man! And Falco's Arwing looks so cool!

What's up with Krystal crying, though?

9. I think he's playing some CS:S, with some serious concentration.

Posted at 2:27PM on Jun 16th 2006 by Chad

10. i seriously hope krystal comes back. theres no way shed join star wolf. like jan medi said, i bet shes gone off to find As much about cerinia as she can and then she unexpectedly returns one day.
