DS Opera endures real life test

Joshua Zimmerman, the gentleman responsible for creating the above video, decided he'd enlighten us all with a lengthy demonstration of the final DS Opera browser that recently released in Japan and will soon make its way to the rest of the gaming world. In taking it through its paces, Joshua shows how surfing, inputting text, and the zoom-in feature will work, as well as giving us a close look at page loading times for the browser.

Does anyone will know if this release in Japan will support English speakers? My good friend is leaving to Japan today and he said he'll pick a couple up for me if it does.

to be fair, on a slow DSL connection in a conference hall, I never experienced any load times in excess of 1-2 minutes for entire sites, MySpace included, when I go to test the browser. So when he says, but does not show that it takes "X minutes to load" some sites, he is really over estimating.

try 30 secons to 1 minute max, even on a slower DSL.

http://my.opera.com/DotEd for my hands on.

lets hope it has flash and some decent memory and very quick load times. If this DS browser can do all that then i can say "fuck off PSP".

No it only has Japanese language text. There will be a Europe release with English language later this year.
