The DS strikes back

One day -- years from now -- your grandkids will look at you with innocent eyes and ask, "Pappy, where were you during the great portable wars of 2006?" You'll tear-up when answering, but your words will be strong, "Oh, little one, I was there when it all started. I was on the front lines. I was with DS Fanboy."

And so it begins... we've turned our keys and launched our first retaliatory strike against PSP Fanboy for exposing the world to the most heinous fanboy video ever unleashed. You still have nearly two weeks to enlist in this epic battle and make the world of console gaming a better place. Send your rebuttal video to fanboyvideo AT yahoo DOT com. This entry from TomBot sticks close to the PSP fanboy formula and achieves hilarious results.

Keep 'em coming! And, if this just makes you mad, or compels you to make sweeping speeches about how wrong hot fanboy vs. fanboy action is, then you need to de-emphasize the "boy" part of fanboy and remember the "fan" part of the equation. This is all in good fun. Until someone loses an eye. Which will likely be soon.

[Thanks for the video Tom!]

Urg! It was going great until they misspelled "system failure."

this is stupid. the ideologies behind the two devices are wholly different, there is no need to compare them.
the ds is fun to pick up and play, has games that are a hella lotta fun and it is far from cutting edge technology. psp is trying to be a ps2 portable and replicate the immersion of console games, and falls short in my opinion. But to each his own. I'd rather have a little cheap device that is fun to pick up and play and put down just as quickly than play some half witted atempt at mimicing console play. but to each his own. this is comparing apples to marmalade.

The original (and severely retarded) PSP fanboy video isn't worth a rebuttal. So why bother? Play your DS and be happy.

Sorry, this was a stupid video, even worse than the PSP one, and that was pretty bad.

Not to mention the total failure of UMD movies, the fact that i cannot even play a PSP without wanting to overhaul the controls, and the severe joy of precise touch screen control.

It's like sex, except it costs a lot more money and there's no risk of making babies.

I thought that was funny, sort of a "right back at ya" approach to the video. To all those that are complaining:

I don't suppose you made an entry?

Wow.. even though I'm all for the DS, I keep thinking this video is made by a PSP fanboy trying to mock the DS.

not saying it was great, but c'mon...in the vein of the original, it's worth a mention. in the grand scheme of things, this is ridiculous and meaningless, but in the context it's all a big piss, right? okay, yes now back to not finishing Trauma Center.

Well TomBot, if it may be of help to you, I liked it.

To me itīs done very well, and if you ask me, the typo`s are on purpose, as well as the funny approach.

And itīs quite correct, this COULD be made by a PSP fanboy trying to bash the DS, but canīt the same be said about that PSP fanboy video?

All in all, this is a great little piece, great, because that PSP fanboy wouldīve made exactly the same thing if that one was a DS fanboy...

Enough with the fanboy crap in this topic, itīs just for fun! And it amused me ^^;

I'm a french guy,34years old, psp game system "buyer" (I know shame on me!lol)...and recent crazy happy Gamer with a stylish black Dslite. Sadly I must admit than everything in this video is quite accurate, and not to mention the bulky weight of 5 (dinosaursize) umd games if you want to change from time to time while on the go. I experiment "the system error" as well, I must frankly admit that I thought it was something f=than I done wrong coz Sony do not mention any of this possible failure in the manual!!!!
By tyhe way....I'm selling a brand new, nearly unuse psp+umds.....Anyone interested?! (^_^)

Was that even a comparison? I mean, the other one was rediculously stupid, but it at least tried to actually compare them (even if it failed horribly at doing it, an F is better than a 0).

haahah that was hilariously BAD and yeah the couple of typos ruined everything "Lets" right at the begining and failiure. it's one thing to have small spelling errors when posting comments but in a video you intend to show the world? you lose.

Sticking to the vein of the original was a good idea, as these two sort of go hand in hand. This was the first battle. With the DSFanboys coming out on top thanks to, among other things...
- valid arguments
- better music
- a sense of humour

Hehe.. I got some burns there with the spelling. Sorry guys! It was unfortunatley accidental. *shh...* The movie was not at all to be serious, just a spur-of-the-moment deal. But hey, i'm represent'in. In actuality, I don't think the psp is that bad, but I had fun making it. I guess it wasn't a total *failure*, ha...but it's strongly agreed that I could have done much better on it.

Were yall up top serious about the typos?... that was on purpose.. as was the bad grammer. :|...
