NES transformed into a DVD player

Eventhough he owns a PSP, Joystiq reader Zach sent in this beaut to the fine folks over there, looking for some props on his masterpiece. Well, he gets them here at DS Fanboy (we'll overlook the PSP) as we wouldn't mind one bit fusing a DVD player with a NES. It's just yet another way we could instill more Nintendo into our lives (never a bad thing).

What do you guys think? Senseless butchering of a timeless console or an ingenious method of putting some life back into dead technology?

Very nice. He should have used a next-gen optical drive though, it's going to be obsolete again in a hurry. :-(

And if you need to you can play the NES games on the PSP using emulation!

Well, Nintendo was going to put a dvd player in the Wii, but it would have raised the price to around $300. Which would have been okay, but they were already getting enough trouble because they said they would never price a system over $200. That Nes/DVD player, interesting, I wonder what got him to take a suicidal mission to transform the Nes.
